Toffee Squares

1 cup butter
1 egg yolk
2 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
4 milk chocolate bars

Heat oven to 350
Mix butter, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla
Stir in flour and salt until well blended
Spread in a rectangle 13x10 baking sheet
Bake 20-25 minutes till browned
Place chocolate on top and let stand till soft
Spread evenly and sprinkle with nuts
Cut in small squares while warm
Refrigerate
