Lemon Butter Bars

2 cups flour
1 cup beutter, softened
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

1.  Preheat oven to 350
2.  Beat together flour, buter and 1/2 cup confect. sugar in small bowl  
with electric mixer until well blended
3.  Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or untilo golden
4.  Beat eggs, sugar, baking powder, salt and lemon juice in small bowl
until smooth. Pour over hot crust
5.  Bake 15 minutes more or until bubbly and light brown
6.  Cool completely on wire rack.  Dust lightly with remaining
confectioners sugar.  Cut into diamonds, about 2 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches
Use small spatula to list diamonds out of the pan
7.  Store airtight at room temperature.
