Crunchy Crumb Pie Topping
(that stays crunchy on any fruit pie)

1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1/2 cup packed light-brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 stick (1/2 cup) cold butter (in freezer for 15 minutes) and then cut into
small pieces

Mix flour, sugars and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
Cut in butter (or run in with fingertips) until mixture forms moist, coarse
crumbs that clump together easily.
Pat topping evenly over fruit pie to form a top crust.

Preheat oven to 450
bake for 10 minutes
Reduce heat to 350 and bake for 45-50 minutes
