HARD CANDY
1 1/2 cups karo light corn syrup
1 cup water
3 3/4 cup sugar

1 tsp. 'Lorann' flavoring oils
Food coloring
'Powered' sugar

Place aluminum foil over a cookie pan and sprinkle with
powdered sugar
Mix karo, water and sugar in a large heavy saucepan
Sir over medium heat until sugar dissolves
Boil without stirring until temperature reaches 310 degrees or
  drops of syrup form hard and brittle threads in cold water
Remove from heat
Stir in flavoring and coloring
Pour onto foil
Cool
Break into pieces
Store in airtight containers

Makes 2 1/4 pounds
