Chicken Rosemary
4 pieces of chicken
1/4 cup melted shorten or oil
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup chopped celery & celery leaves
1/4 cup white wine
1 teaspoon rosemary

Brown chicken in hot oil
Drain off all but 2 tablespoons oil.
Sprinkle with seasonings, and add all the rest of the stuff.
Cover-simmer-about 30 minutes, basting occasionally.

(Baste means spoon some of the liquid over the top of the
chicken.)
