Caroline's Cabbage Salad
1 medium to large head of red cabbage, sliced very thin or
(Marian's way is with 1/2 head of both red and green
2 bunches scallions chopped
1/2 cup oil of which 2 TB are sesame oil
(Marian's way is 1/4 cup oil)
3/4 to 1 cup vinegar
(Marian's way is 1/2 cup of mild vinegar- raspberry is good!)
1/3 cup sesame seeds toasted
3/4 cups toasted almonds
3 packages ramen noodles (Marian uses 2 packages)

Toss scallions and shaved cabbage with oil and vinegar.
(can be done several hours before serving, but best when
done just before serving)
Just before serving, add toasted seeds and almonds and
broken ramen noodles.
